Catriona is the first woman to have won the both World Duathlon titles and the Europeans.

She led the first 15km run by 20 seconds and built on that lead in lap 1 of the technical 76km bike course. By the end of the 3rd and
final bike lap she had built up a lead of over 3 minutes on second place Michelle Lee and maintained that gap on the final 7.5km run.
