It’s official – I am a human pin cushion! Today I had an MOT before heading off to the States for a month. Two races, one training camp. Fingers and toes crossed for good things.

Meet my new friends – the worm family. They arrived last week and we spent the weekend settling them into their new home in the garage. Lots of yummy newspaper, cardboard and compost for them to scrummage in. After they have acclimatised to their new home I get to feed them food leftovers. Yummy yummy. In return I will soon apparently have some great liquid feed for the veggies in my garden – not that I’ve planted any yet….However, I am a bit concerned that I may experience “worm wander” – they may go walkabout as they are unfamiliar with their new plush surroundings. If I don’t end their lives prematurely I may even one day be able to graduate to looking after a cat. I guess that worms are a good start as they don’t need feeding every day so I still get to go away to races and training camps without worrying too much!
